Jim served for four years on Oregon’s Appraiser Certification and Licensure Board (ACLB), which is the state’s regulatory agency for appraisers and appraisal management companies, including two years as ACLB Board Chair from 2014 through 2016. He currently serves on the executive board of the Oregon Mortgage Bankers Association (OMBA) and chairs the Oregon Association of Realtors (OAR) Business Issues Committee’s Appraisal Subcommittee. Mel Black, MNAA, McKissock Learning
Mel Black holds the position of Director of Appraisal Innovation at McKissock Learning. Mel was first licensed as an appraiser in 1991 and as a real estate broker in 1988. He is an AQB-Certified USPAP Instructor. He was named the “Educator of the Year” by North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association and was the first recipient of the prestigious “Larry Outlaw Excellence in Education Award” established by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. In addition to his work with McKissock Learning, Mel is an attorney in private practice with a focus on representing real estate appraisers and other professionals before their licensing boards.
Prior to working with McKissock, Mel owned and operated an appraisal and real estate school while practicing law. He has developed appraisal curriculum for countless appraisal and real estate continuing education classes and has represented hundreds of appraisers in legal proceedings. He also was the Executive Director of the North Carolina Appraisal Board and served as the Education and Examination Officer for the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Mel has served as an appraisal subject matter expert in multiple roles to include: reviewing and revising appraisal examination questions for a national provider and contributing to “APB Valuation Advisory #6: Valuation of Green and High Performance Property: Background and Competency” by the Appraisal Foundation.
Mel has co-authored a book on teaching real estate topics and most recently was acknowledged as a contributor to the Real Estate Commission's "North Carolina Real Estate Manual 2011-2012 Edition" for revising the chapter on Real Estate Valuation
Mel has been elected or appointed to serve in a variety of state and national positions to include: President of the Association of Appraisal Regulatory Officials (AARO;) Board Member of the Council for Licensure Enforcement, and Regulation (CLEAR;) Member of The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC;) and others. Currently, he serves as the Vice Chair of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. For his service to and representation of North Carolina, Mel has been honored with membership into the Order of the Longleaf Pine, North Carolina’s highest award presented by the Office of the Governor.

Michelle Czekalski Bradley, MNAA, Czekalski Real Estate Inc.
Michelle Czekalski Bradley is the granddaughter of Betty Czekalski, Czekalski Real Estate, Inc.’s founder, and serves as Chief Appraiser. She joined Czekalski Real Estate, Inc. after graduating from college, however she has been a part of the company for as long as she can remember, working alongside her parents, Janet and Wally Czekalski, for decades.
Michelle is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor, and a real estate educator on a variety of real estate topics. She has authored continuing education courses which she has instructed for both appraisal and real estate licensees in many states. She also completes appraisal review assignments for a variety of clients.
She has recently been appointed as Chair of the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) by the Board of Trustees of the Appraisal Foundation. This national-based board is responsible for developing and amending the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the generally accepted standards of the appraisal profession.
She has served as Pennsylvania's representative to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Real Property Valuation Committee and has also served on the Federal Financing and Housing Policy Committee, and actively lobbies for needed changes to the real estate profession. NAR has appointed Michelle as their representative to The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC) where she was appointed to chair the Appraisal Standards Board Issues Committee in her first year. Through her involvement in NAR, she was selected to testify in the United States Congress, Veterans Affairs Committee, on behalf of NAR regarding appraisal issues.
Michelle has over 35 years’ experience in performing professional appraisal services for her clients. She works to build long-lasting relationships with every client through her willingness to answer questions and provide attention to detail.
Michelle achieved her Appraisal Certification and Associate Broker's license in her early 20's, and at the time, was one of the youngest in the state to do so. She currently holds a SRA Designation with the Appraisal Institute. Through the National Association of REALTORS® she holds multiple designations including the General Accredited Appraiser (GAA), Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), At Home with Diversity (AHWD) and Commitment to Excellence C2EX. She holds a Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI) designation from the International Distance Education Certification Center (IDECC).
An alumnus of Clarion University, Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, with a Real Estate major. She is also a graduate of Dale Carnegie Human Relations and Sales Advantage courses and has served as a Graduate Assistant multiple times. She is a graduate of Leadership Alle-Kiski Valley, where she was elected to the Board of Directors.
She has been named REALTOR® of the Year twice by the Greater Allegheny Kiski Area Board of REALTORS®, in 1999 and 2019, and she is also a member of the Butler Area Association of REALTORS®.
An active member of the region's civic and philanthropic communities, she has served as President, Secretary/Treasurer and State Director of the Greater Allegheny Kiski Area Board of REALTORS®, where she has also served on the Board of Directors multiple times. She has been elected to the Allegheny Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and has also served as President of the Chamber and on the Executive Committee. She is also a past President of the Allegheny Valley Business and Professional Women's Club.
Married for over 33 years to Dan Bradley, who is also a certified general appraiser, she enjoys spending her leisure time with her husband and their three “tuxedo” cats, Tony, Vinny and Louie, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
FUN FACT:
In 1984, while in high school, Michelle was a foreign exchange student to Bogota, Colombia, South America. From that time, she has had a deep sense of national pride that continues to guide her in her daily life. In 2019, she traveled back to Bogota to visit her host family. The cultural experience at such an early age sparked a desire to travel and experience other cultures. She has traveled to many places with her best friend, who was also a foreign exchange student.

John Brenan, MNAA, Chief Appraiser, Clear Capital
John S. Brenan, FRICS, MNAA, REALTOR®, Chief Appraiser, Clear Capital joined Clear Capital as Chief Appraiser in April 2020. In this role, John serves as a primary source to guide the vision of valuation policy for the company, leveraging his many years of experience and reputation in the profession. John also serves as a primary contact for public relations and media opportunities.
Prior to joining Clear Capital, John served as Vice President, Appraisal Issues for The Appraisal Foundation from 2003 to 2020. John was the Foundation’s senior staff contact regarding the work of the Appraisal Standards Board (ASB) and Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB). Additionally, John had primary responsibility for writing articles, conducting webinars, and public speaking events.
Prior to his role at the Foundation, John spent 8½ years as the Chief of Licensing and Enforcement for the California Office of Real Estate Appraisers (now BREA). In that role, John administered the largest real estate appraiser licensing program in the United States, evaluating applicants for compliance with both federal and state requirements. John was also responsible for California’s enforcement program; educating and/or disciplining licensees who violated law, regulations or USPAP. John worked with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies regarding cases involving fraud.
John has been in the appraisal profession since the early 1980s. Prior to joining OREA in February 1995, he worked as a staff appraiser and fee appraiser for several large financial institutions, appraising both residential and non-residential real estate covering a wide variety of property types. He also previously managed an appraisal department for a major financial institution. John is a Certified General appraiser, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor, REALTOR®, Member of the National Association of Appraisers, and Fellow with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach.

Michael Brunson, MNAA, RPD Analytics, LLC
Founding partner, Michael Brunson, has over 20 years of real estate appraisal expertise. He is a collateral valuation specialist, member of the Nevada Real Estate Division Appraisal Advisory Committee, a Certified Appraiser in both Nevada and California, and one of only six certified appraisers qualified as an AQB (Appraiser Qualifications Board) Certified USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) instructor in Nevada. He has completed assignments for civil, probate, real estate damages and divorce cases. He is a qualified expert witness for real estate evaluations in the 8th Judicial Court of Clark County, Nevada, Reno Federal Court and Las Vegas Federal Court.
Michael shares his expertise with the industry as he teaches USPAP, qualifying education and continuing education courses and provides USAPAP consultations to attorneys, appraisers, and lending clients. Michael is approved to teach courses in California, Arizona, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Utah. He is approved by the State of Nevada to teach both pre-licensing and continuing education. He also develops and presents his own private seminars.
Michael is a published author with articles in The Appraisal Institute and Working Real Estate Magazines as well as his various presentations and class curricula. He is a frequent panel member at summit gatherings to discuss issues of key importance in the real estate arena.
Not only does Michael share his expertise with the industry, he also provides much needed public information that helps our community. He is recognized by both local and national media as an expert on appraisal and the Las Vegas market. He is frequently called upon to interview in this regard for print and broadcast media.
On numerous occasions, Michael has provided public comment and testimony before the Nevada Commission of Real Estate Appraisers, the Nevada Assembly Commission on Commerce and Labor and the Nevada Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor.
Michael is a native of Las Vegas, a graduate of Chaparral High School and University of Nevada at Las Vegas. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration at Grand Canyon University.

Craig Capilla, Franklin, Greenswag, Channon & Capilla, LLC
Craig Capilla is a trial lawyer, defending individuals and businesses in a wide range of civil matters, including professional liability and commercial litigation. He has effectively defended numerous residential and commercial appraisers and appraisal firms accused of negligence or improper activity in their valuation services, a chiropractic group accused of malpractice, and successfully litigated employment disputes related to discrimination claims, restrictive covenants, and unemployment hearings. Craig has also represented numerous licensed professionals in state licensing matters, including real estate brokers, real estate appraisers, appraisal management companies, mortgage brokers, nursing home administrators, and medical doctors.

Peter Christensen is an attorney. He’s a member of the California, Washington and Montana state bars, and resides in Bozeman, Montana. His law practice is dedicated to valuation issues. He’s the former general counsel of LIA Administrators & Insurance Services which insures over 15,000 appraisers and is the author of Risk Management for Real Estate Appraisers and Appraisal Firms, published by the Appraisal Institute. He has taught hundreds of appraiser liability prevention seminars around the country.

Candy Cooke, MNAA, Real Property Counselors
Having been involved in the real estate field since 1983, Candace Cooke’s experience includes real estate research and valuation of residential and commercial properties with an emphasis in residential appraisal, the management of both residential and commercial real estate, real estate development and construction and real property tax protest arbitration. Ms. Cooke has also actively listed and sold real estate in Central Texas. Ms. Cooke previously worked for several years as a contractor with the State of Texas in the assessment of appraisal districts with regards to school district funding. Ms. Cooke is both a certified general appraiser as well as a real estate broker in the State of Texas. Ms. Cooke is now dedicating a large portion of her time to the education of both real estate agents and appraisers.

Luis De La Garza, DLG Appraisal Inc.
Luis De La Garza is president of DLG Appraisal Inc. He is a Texas certified residential appraiser. He is a past chair of the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board, past director of the Laredo Association of Realtors, past board member of the South Texas Future of the Region, and a member of Kiwanis International. He is a member of the National Association of Appraisers and the Association of Texas Appraisers (ATA).
Luis was recently appointed Webb County Republican Party Chair and received ATA’s 2022 Outstanding Service Award for the Rio Grande Valley.

Scott DiBiaso, Appraisal Institute
Scott W. DiBiasio is the Manager of State & Industry Affairs for the 19,000 member Appraisal Institute. Based in the real estate appraiser trade association’s Washington, D.C. office, Scott is responsible for tracking state legislative and regulatory issues affecting the real estate appraisal profession across the country. Scott is also responsible for tracking and working to influence state legislative proposals regarding background checks, appraisal review licensing requirements, and alternate valuation standards. Scott also works with the leaders and members of the Institute’s 89 chapters to assist them in developing and executing their state government affairs programs.

John Dingeman, MNAA, Class Valuation
John Dingeman, MNAA, a California, Nevada and Arizona Certified Residential Appraiser and registered Property Tax Agent in Arizona, is the Chief Appraiser at Class Valuation, in a national Appraisal Management Company (AMC). He also serves as Past-President of the National Association of Appraisers (NAA) and as the Past-President for the Coalition of Arizona Appraisers (CoAA). He has extensive experience in the appraisal of single family dwellings, small income producing properties, and vacant land; and as an FHA appraiser he specializes in HUD/REO properties.
Additionally, John serves or has served in the community as Board Member to the Arizona Office of Manufactured Housing, Past-President of his homeowner’s association, village planning committee, stakeholder committee for a freeway project, and Past-President of a charitable organization called Arizona Helping Hands. Beverly is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the States of Kansas and Missouri, and is President of Easterwood Valuation Services and HDC Consulting Group, Inc. Beverly is also a Real Estate Sales Consultant with The Metro Group Real Estate, LLC; Licensed in the States of Kansas and Missouri.
Beverly has been active in the real estate and appraisal industries for over 35 years.
Beverly has been appointed by Governor Laura Kelly to the Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board, and has served as the First Female President of the Greater Kansas City Association of Real Estate Brokers, the National Society of Real Estate Appraisers and the GKC Chapter of the National Society of Real Estate Appraisers.
Beverly is also a Consultant, providing services in the areas of Relocation, Forensic Review Appraising, Tax Appeals and Market Studies, and she has served as an Expert Witness for condemnation and tax protest hearings.
Beverly has also been a Consultant to the Acquisition Team for the Kansas International Speedway Corporation, developer of the NASCAR race track. James Heaslet, VA
Serving as the Chief Appraiser for the Veteran’s Administration’s (VA) Loan Guaranty Service since August 2018, he is responsible for developing and overseeing policies and regulations for the VA Construction and Valuation department.
As an owner of his own private appraisal firm, he was an active member of the VA Appraiser panel for over 7 years. He is a full spectrum residential appraiser that ranges from; trophy properties, vacant land, rural locations and expert witness assignments. James is both Level I and II appraisal investigator trained by The Appraisal Foundation along with an Associate member of the Certified Fraud Examiners Association. He was appointed by the Governor of Arizona to serve on the State Board of Appraisals for two terms. Over the six years appointed to the board, he served as Vice chairman of the board, Chairman of application and personnel.
James holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) form the University of Arizona. Has retired from the United States Marine Corps with over 20 years of service. Of the many awards received his highest awarded medal is the Meritorious Service Medal and a combat action award for numerous engagements in Iraq. As a retired Gunnery Sergeant, he is often referred to as “Gunny”.
James is passionate about serving not only his county, but all fellow veterans and his community and has actively volunteered for the past umpteen years as a Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 99 in Litchfield park Arizona where his wife and two kids still reside for the time being. James is married to Jody Heaslet and has two children.

Samuel Henderson, MNAA
With over 40+ years of real estate appraisal and teaching experience, Dr. Samuel Lee Edward Henderson, B.S., M.U.S.E., M.S.R.E., C.A.G.S., Ed.D., G.R.I., C.R.B., D.R.E.I., C.D.E.I., A.G.A., N.P.C.C. , MNAA, REALTOR and EcoBroker, has a long and successful teaching record of outstanding accomplishments in the disciplines of mathematics, physics, engineering, computer systems, real estate, appraisal, property management, finance, home inspections, green appraising (high sustainable buildings), pre-license, post- licensing and continuing real estate education. He is a former faculty member at Fayetteville State University, Howard University, and George Washington University, a former High School Mathematics/Physics teacher; and a former high school associate principal.
Henderson's unique expertise in the residential and nonresidential real estate appraisal business comes as a direct result of being a real estate appraisal practitioner and author of numerous real estate appraisal courses and other literary works. With an earned master’s degree in real estate with a specialty in real estate valuation and development from the Carey School of Business at The Johns Hopkins University, Henderson uses this knowledge to provide guidance and consultation to real estate professionals who endeavor to advance their professional careers. Hal Humphreys, MNAA, Appraiser eLearning
Hal Humphreys is a real estate appraiser with 30+ years in the business. He's served as an expert witness in civil and criminal cases and as a contract investigator for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. Hal is co-founder and partner of Appraiser eLearning and its sister company, PI Education. He’s also a private investigator and an occasional journalist whose work has appeared in Fast Company and on NPR.

Chris Hunt, International Valuation Group, LLC
As IVG’s COO, Chris leads all aspect of the Appraisal Management business. Janeen Isaacson, Lipson Neilson P.C.
Janeen V. Isaacson has been a practicing litigator for more than 25 years. Prior to joining the firm, she spent 8 years as a prosecutor for the Office of Bar Counsel, including serving as Interim Bar Counsel.
She was hired by the Nevada State Bar for her litigation background to serve as the prosecutor designated to handle the largest and most difficult cases.
She prosecuted and obtained disbarments for the office’s high profile and complex cases, including the case against Robert Graham, who was ultimately convicted of stealing more than $10 million in client funds.
During her tenure, Janeen served as lead counsel for more than 100 discipline trials. She participated in the investigation and prosecution of hundreds of other cases which were concluded without a Formal Hearing.
Janeen also handled dozens of appeals brought by Respondents and was one of the few prosecutors to participate in oral argument for a discipline matter before the Nevada Supreme Court.
Before joining the Nevada State Bar, Janeen was an equity partner with the litigation firm of Marks & Isaacson. Bill has over 40 years of diverse experience in real estate, encompassing brokerage, valuation, finance, consulting and advisory services, and litigation support in which he has provided expert services, testimony and client counseling in cases ranging from single property disputes to national cases involving hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of properties.
A licensed real estate broker and certified residential real estate appraiser in Washington State. Bill is a nationally recognized instructor of real estate and appraisal courses and seminars and an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. His articles and professional papers have been published in many industry publications, and has been quoted by the Seattle Times, Los Angeles Times and USA Today.

Amelia Lovorn, MNAA, City Realty
Amelia Lovorn, MNAA is currently a Mississippi Appraisal Board member.
Amelia originates from Southaven, Mississippi. She holds an Executive MBA and a bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis with an emphasis in finance, economics, and real estate.
Having obtained both her broker and appraiser licenses in the nineties, she is the principal broker of her firm and a certified appraiser in both Mississippi and Tennessee. In addition, she performs many other functions including expert witness testimony, state board investigatory duties, conducts compliance reviews for numerous entities, and is an investment consultant.
Heavily involved in all aspects of real estate, she has served as the local Realtor board president, the president of the Realtor Services Association, an advisory member to the Memphis Association of Realtors, and has been a member of the Appraiser Association of Regulatory Officials board and education team. She served on the Legislative Affairs Committee for the Mississippi Association of Realtors as well as the National Association of Realtors Appraisal Committee. She also serves as a board member for the Bouchillon Institute of Community Planning.
Over the past 15+ years, she has traveled throughout the country instructing appraisal/real estate continuing education, pre-licensing courses, bar association court preparation classes, authoring educational courses, and USPAP consulting for the Justice Department. She is an Appraisal Qualification Board Certified USPAP instructor since 2004 and has also assisted in authoring the national appraisal exam.

Craig Morley, MNAA, Accurity Valuation/Morley and McConkie, LLC
Craig Morley, MNAA is a Certified General appraiser licensed in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. His professional associations include: National Association of Appraisers (NAA), National Association of Realtors (NAR), Coalition of Appraisers of Nevada (CAN), and Utah Association of Appraisers (UAA). With designations from NAA and NAR.
Craig was appointed to the Utah Appraiser Licensing and Appraisal Board by the Governor of Utah in 2004 to 2012, having chaired the board for 4 of those years. Craig is the past president of the Washington County Board of Realtors, past Vice President of the Utah Association of Realtors, he is also a past president of the National Association of Appraisers. He is also currently serving in the NAR Real Property Valuation Committee (Past chair). Craig is a licensed education instructor for Real Estate and Appraisal.
Craig has been a full-time real estate appraiser since 1984, with his appraisal experience in appraising most types of commercial property, residential property, easements, water rights. He also has experience in litigation valuation together with residential and commercial development. Craig has been qualified as an expert witness in district court in Utah and Nevada as well as providing testimony in Georgia, US District court and federal bankruptcy courts.
In 2020, Craig has been appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Appraisal Foundation to serve on the Appraisal Standards Board. This is a 3-year commitment.

Jeffrey Morley, MNAA, Accurity Consolidated
Jeff Morley is a Certified General Appraiser in Utah and Nevada and holds the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute since July 2014. He has extensive commercial and residential appraisal experience. Jeff has been appraising full time since 2002. Jeff was appointed to a 4-year term on the Utah Appraiser Licensing and Appraisal Board in 2016. He has served as a tax appeal hearing officer for the Board of Equalization in Washington and Iron Counties since 2008.
He specializes in the appraisal of recreational properties in Brian Head, Duck Creek, Panguitch Lake and the surrounding areas. Jeff has experience in appraising properties in Washington, Iron, Kane, Garfield and Beaver counties in Utah and in Clark County, Nevada.
In addition to the appraisal of general commercial properties, Jeff has experience in the appraisal of lodging facilities, restaurants, RV parks, subdivisions, apartment housing and large tracts of land. He also has experience in eminent domain, appraisal work of fee and partial interest acquisitions for Right-of-Way, and utility line easements. Jeff is on the UDOT list of approved appraisers for complex properties.

Jim Park, ASC
James (Jim) R. Park has served as The Executive Director of the Appraisal Subcommittee in Washington, DC since 2009. He is the senior staff person responsible for the day-to-day ASC operations and staff. Under direction of the ASC, the Executive Director is responsible for implementing ASC policies, overseeing its programs and budget, and developing recommendations to the ASC members. The Executive Director also represents the ASC before state appraisal regulatory officials; federal regulatory officials, federal and state legislators, and various appraisal industry groups.
During his career Jim has held executive management and leadership roles within the mortgage banking and appraisal industries.
Jim holds a B.A. in organizational communications from the University of Colorado and a certified general appraisal license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Lyle Radke, Fannie Mae
Lyle Radke is Director of Fannie Mae’s Collateral Policy team, which establishes and maintains policy standards for appraisals and property eligibility. Shortly after receiving a master’s degree in Geology from Brigham Young University, Lyle began his career in real estate valuation in New Mexico. After nearly nine years of appraisal field work, he joined the Valuation Department of GMAC Mortgage, becoming manager in 2007. In that role, he hired and trained a large valuation review team from the ground up, as well as supervised the creation of one of the first XML appraisal delivery platforms. Looking for a new challenge in 2013, he joined Fannie Mae to work on Collateral Underwriter and other collateral policy initiatives.

Scott Reuter, Freddie Mac
Scott Reuter is the Chief Appraiser and Director of Valuation for the Single-Family Division. His team leads the ongoing development and refinement of property valuation risk management strategies, underwriting products, and establishing and maintaining a credible quality assurance process across multiple lines of business support.
Mr. Reuter and his team also interact with both Sellers/clients and stakeholders across the appraisal industry to reinforce Freddie Mac’s quality standards.
He is a state certified-general appraiser with over 35 years of experience in valuation, appraisal and collateral risk management concerns. Prior to Freddie Mac, he held management positions with Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and GE. He recently was recognized as the CRN (Collateral Risk Network) “2021 Valuation Visionary” and was a recipient of GE’s prestigious “Americas Award” for Outstanding Contribution to the Business.
Mr. Reuter holds a B.A. from The Ohio State University and has completed the executive leadership program at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Business.

Bryan S. Reynolds, MNAA, CDEI is a certified appraiser with thirty years of experience in real property appraising and mortgage banking. Paul Ryll, Oscar Mike
Paul Ryll is the owner of three companies: Oscar Mike Appraisals Group, Oscar Mike Mobile Appraisals, and he is also a successful restaurateur who has recently launched a new fast-causal Mediterranean concept, Parsley & Mint. Oscar Mike Mobile Appraisals has just launched an innovative app that is set to disrupt the residential appraisal industry.
A former United States Marine, Ryll is literally “Oscar Mike” – military speak for “On the Move”. Paul holds a Master of Science of Real Estate and Infrastructure from Johns Hopkins University and is currently pursuing his master’s degree from The Culinary Institute of America. Paul is also part of the City of Greenville’s “From Here you Can Change the World” initiative.

Gregory Stephens, MNAA, G E Stephens Compliance Consulting and Training
Greg Stephens is a recognized subject matter expert in appraisal regulations and standards, whose 40+ year career in the industry includes owning and managing a five office regional appraisal firm in Northern California for twenty-four years prior to spending ten years in financial institution valuation QC and governance managing pre and post-closing review teams, monitoring state and federal appraisal-related legislation and USPAP subject matter expert and ten years as chief appraiser and SVP compliance for a national appraisal firm.
Mr. Stephens professional credentials include Certified General Appraiser, SRA, AI-RRS Designations from the Appraisal Institute, AQB Certified USPAP Instructor through The Appraisal Foundation, CDEI Certified Distance Education Instructor through the International Distance Education Certification Center.
For over twenty years he has been providing qualifying and continuing education seminars around the country through his seminar company-Appraisal Seminars, the Appraisal Institute, several colleges, and for Metro-West national staff and clients.

In September 2011 Mr. Stephens joined Metro-West Appraisal Co. LLC as Senior Vice President, Appraisal Operations and Compliance and in December 2013 was promoted to Chief Appraiser, SVP Compliance where his responsibilities include corporate policies and procedures, federal and state appraisal regulatory compliance, national staff training and representing Metro-West Appraisal Company at national conferences as guest participant and speaker. In October 2016, Mr. Stephens took on the additional role as Chief Compliance Officer for Valuation Link LLC.

Heather Sullivan, MNAA, Aloft
Heather Sullivan serves as Head of Operations Training Programs at Aloft. In this role, she leads various educational programs committed to developing the next generation of appraisers and upskilling the current appraiser workforce. Heather began her appraisal career in 1999 and has led a well-rounded career within the industry since that time. Heather has developed nationally-recognized appraisal courses and has taught appraiser education across the United States. Heather earned her Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Idaho and is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor and IDECC Certified Distance Education Instructor. Heather is a Certified Real Estate Appraiser in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and California.

Joshua Walitt, MNAA, Walitt Solutions
Joshua Walitt, MNAA is the principal consultant for Walitt Solutions. He provides short- and long-term consulting services related to compliance, valuation, education, review, and investigations. Clients include lending institutions, appraisers, appraisal management companies, attorneys, accountants, education providers, regulators, and others.
With over 20 years of experience, Walitt’s skillset includes appraisal, banking, regulations, policy, training, licensing, audit, and enforcement. His core goal is to foster clients’ efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and growth through appropriate methodology and technology, sound reasoning and communication skills, and proper oversight.
He writes for industry publications and speaks at events such as the Appraisal Institute’s Annual Conference, Appraisal Summit, Valuation Expo, Appraiser’s Conference and Trade Show, Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials, and other client and industry conferences. Walitt designs seminars and continuing education courses for online and classroom delivery.
In 2013, he was the appraiser member of Colorado’s AMC Rulemaking Taskforce. In 2015, Walitt designed the Market Machine, a market analysis and modeling tool used by appraisers throughout the U.S. He has also provided valuation consulting for international applications. Walitt has been recognized as an expert witness in local and federal court.
Walitt holds the SRA & AI-RRS designations with the Appraisal Institute, is the Vice President of the National Association of Appraisers (MNAA), holds a Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI) certificate, is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor, is an Appraisal Institute approved instructor, and served on the Colorado Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Mark Walser, Incenter Appraisal Management
Mark Walser joined IAM in 2020 and is responsible for setting our vision and developing and implementing the growth and operational strategies necessary to achieve it. A 12-year industry veteran, he has deep expertise across all areas of appraisal management including technology and operations, appraiser network development, marketing and branding, client service and business development. Mark is also a member of the Incenter leadership team. Prior to joining IAM, Mark was instrumental in the growth of one of the largest AMCs in the country, Triserv Appraisal Management, SVP Business Development/Accounts and held senior positions at several national AMCs prior to that. He holds a B.S. in Management w/emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University and is based out of our corporate offices in Charlotte, NC, where he lives with his wife Kristin (who is a real CPA) and their two beautiful children.
